New Chaplain in Chantilly
The Bishop in Europe is pleased to announce that he has offered the post of Chaplain to St Peter’s Chantilly, to The Revd Ben Evans, currently Assistant Chaplain at St Michael’s Paris. Ben has accepted this, though of course the offer is subject to completion of the usual formalities. Ben, his wife Elise and daughter Elya expect to move to Chantilly once he has fulfilled his notice period to St Michael’s and the necessary formalities have been finalised.
Archdeacon Peter adds ‘this is really good news for Chantilly and almost brings to an end the process to find a new Chaplain, though of course, it will be hard for St Michaels to have to say goodbye to such an able priest. I am very pleased that for the next step in his ministry journey, Ben has discerned a call to remain in the Archdeaconry of France.
I ask that you hold Ben, Elise and Elya in your prayers as they bring to an end their ministry with St Michael’s and prepare to come to join the Chantilly Chaplaincy.’
Further information regarding a licensing date will be confirmed once all the formalities have been confirmed.
To the church in Paris, Ben writes:
“Elise and I quickly fell deeply in love with St Michael’s, and I've found serving among you both stimulating and fulfilling. Although we’re sad to be leaving this church we can see the Lord’s purpose in our next steps and are excited about the adventure ahead at St Peter’s. St Michael's will always have a special place in our heart though... So, thank you for all you've done to contribute to that! You are greatly appreciated.”
